Jyothy Laboratories, which sells products under brands like Ujala, Pril, and Margo, has appointed MR Jyothy as its MD with effect from April 1, 2020.
Jyothy is the elder daughter of MP Ramachandran, who has 15 years of work experience, is currently a whole-time director and the Chief Marketing Officer.
MP Ramachandran, the founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Jyothy Laboratories will continue to serve as Chairman of the company.
On her appointment, Jyothy said, “I am honoured to be taking charge as the Managing Director of Jyothy Laboratories. My top priorities will be to further strengthen the power brands with enhanced focused on innovation and continuous Research & Development. In addition, I aim to strengthen the sales & distribution of the company.”
“I will strive my best to continue the legacy built by my father, by keeping the culture and value system intact while growing the company further,” she added.
Jyothy has been a part of Jyothy Labs for 15 years and her expertise lies in marketing and brand communication. In her last held designation, she was the Chief Marketing Officer and the Whole Time Director of the company. She has been instrumental in integrating brands like Henko, Pril, and Margo and has successfully handled the post-acquisition operations of Henkel India. The company also unveiled its new logo today.
