After an illustrious 36-year career in HR, Dr. Paneesh Rao, most recently working as Chief Sustainability Officer at LTIMindtree, bids farewell with a sense of gratitude and a touch of disbelief as this significant chapter ends.

Before stepping into the role of Global Head of Sustainability, Paneesh served as the Chief People Officer at LTIMindtree (Mindtree before the merger)

Paneesh took to LinkedIn and wrote that it feels like just yesterday when he first stepped into the world of human resources, filled with excitement, curiosity, and a fair share of nervousness. Today, as he bids farewell, he looks back with pride on a journey marked by challenges, triumphs, and, most importantly, the incredible people who have been a part of his professional story

Throughout his career, Paneesh Rao has been privileged to work with outstanding managers and colleagues who shaped his growth both professionally and personally.

These relationships proved invaluable, and he firmly believes that the most rewarding part of his journey was witnessing the tangible business impact achieved through the collaborative efforts of his teams.

Paneesh takes immense pride in seeing many of his mentees and colleagues at LTIMindtree now thriving in senior roles, emphasizing that a leader’s legacy is best measured by the success of those they support.

Commitment to ESG and Creating a Positive Impact

A significant part of his professional life was his commitment to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives.

Contributing to a more sustainable, inclusive, and responsible future has been a core focus.

He takes pride in the teams he worked with, which consistently exceeded their goals, creating a positive and lasting impact that will continue to resonate for years to come.

A Personal Note of Gratitude and Looking Ahead

As he transitions into the next chapter of his life, Paneesh expresses heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support of his family through the highs and lows of his career.

To his parents, he acknowledges their values and blessings as the foundation of his journey. To his wife, he expresses appreciation for being his pillar of strength and support.

His children and their partners have been a constant source of inspiration and motivation, and he looks forward to spending more time with them, traveling, and cherishing the moments missed while immersed in his professional commitments.

He also extends a special thanks to his mentors and managers who played a pivotal role in shaping his career. Their guidance and support have been invaluable throughout his professional journey.

As he steps away from the corporate world, Paneesh Rao remains committed to staying engaged, mentoring the next generation, and sharing his experiences over coffee or a chat.

He believes that life is about people—the relationships we build, the lives we touch, and the legacies we leave behind.
