Accenture and Siemens have announced the formation of a groundbreaking partnership, the Accenture Siemens Business Group, at Hannover Messe 2025.

This alliance, comprising 7,000 professionals globally, aims to transform engineering and manufacturing by leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as industrial artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and digital twin solutions.

The collaboration marks a significant step toward redefining the manufacturing landscape, enabling businesses to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and drive innovation.

The Vision Behind Accenture and Siemens Partnership

The Accenture Siemens Business Group is designed to combine Siemens’ expertise in industrial technology, software, and automation with Accenture’s capabilities in data and AI.

Together, the two companies aim to empower clients across industries to optimize their value chains. They plan to achieve this by embedding AI at the core of their operations.

Roland Busch, President and CEO of Siemens, emphasized the transformative potential of the partnership, stating, “We will empower customers in all industries to supercharge their entire value chain by embedding AI at the core of their businesses.”

Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO of Accenture, echoed this sentiment in her remarks.

She emphasized the alliance’s focus on scaling automation, data, and AI to transform products and manufacturing processes.

The partnership will drive digital transformation and sustainability across industries. This initiative positions both companies as leaders in the next digital frontier.

Key Innovations and Applications

The alliance will co-develop and market solutions that integrate Siemens’ Xcelerator portfolio with Accenture’s AI capabilities.

These solutions aim to tackle critical challenges in engineering and manufacturing. They focus on improving product design, enhancing production efficiency, and reducing costs. Notable innovations include:

  • Digital Twin Technology: Siemens and Accenture are leveraging digital twin solutions to create virtual replicas of physical assets, enabling real-time monitoring and optimization.
  • Industrial AI: The partnership is developing AI-driven tools to automate complex processes, enhance decision-making, and improve overall productivity.
  • Software-Defined Automation: Siemens’ expertise in automation is being combined with Accenture’s data analytics to create software-defined systems that adapt to changing market demands.

Proven Track Record of Collaboration Between Accenture and Siemens

Accenture and Siemens have a history of successful collaborations, delivering transformative solutions to clients such as KION Group and Navantia.

For KION Group, the alliance optimized core engineering processes using Siemens Teamcenter as a common product lifecycle management (PLM) platform.

This initiative enhanced engineering processes with simulation capabilities, generative AI, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

At Navantia, the partnership implemented a new product development platform using Siemens Teamcenter and Capital Logic Designer.

This platform facilitated the creation of digital twins for Navantia’s vessels, enhancing product design quality. It also helped reduce manufacturing costs by 20%.
