Zepto Employees Allege Toxic Work Culture, Founder Responds

Zepto, the quick-commerce startup co-founded by Aadit Palicha and Kaivalya Vohra, has recently been embroiled in a controversy over its alleged toxic work culture.

The post detailed a grueling work schedule, with employees reportedly working at least 14 hours a day, starting work at noon and often working until 11 p.m.

The post also claimed that senior professionals avoid joining Zepto due to its challenging workplace dynamics. It added that younger employees are hired to cut costs.

A tweet by Aadit stated, “I have nothing against work-life balance. In fact, I recommend it to all our competitors.”

Aadit later clarified that his tweet was a quote from another CEO and not his own words. However, the damage had already been done.

Some have even called for a boycott of the app, urging others to switch to competitors like BlinkIt and Instamart.
