Infosys, India’s second-largest IT company, has adopted a more accommodating and flexible strategy for transitioning back to office work after the pandemic.

Instead of enforcing strict policies, the company is allowing employees to ease into the “work from office” mode at their own pace.

This approach aims to address the varied needs and concerns of its workforce, promoting a smoother and less stressful adjustment period.

By prioritizing flexibility, Infosys demonstrates its commitment to employee well-being while balancing the operational requirements of the company.

A report by The Economic Times reveals that Infosys’ ESG (environmental, social, and governance) report shows a notable rise in remote working among its employees.

In fiscal year 2024, 84 percent of Infosys employees took advantage of remote working options, compared to 75 percent in fiscal year 2023. However, in fiscal 2022 97% of employees were working from home.

This increase underscores the growing trend and importance of flexible work arrangements within the company, reflecting Infosys’ commitment to adapting to changing work environments and promoting work-life balance.

The significant jump in remote working participation highlights the company’s progressive approach to employee well-being and operational flexibility.

However, in April IT giant, Infosys mandates “In-Person Collaborative Weeks” for employees in ENG-IoT projects, requiring their presence on campus. The company said that it aims to enhance collaboration and innovation among team members through its “In-Person Collaborative Weeks” initiative.

Earlier the company encouraged its employees to embrace its hybrid work policy, urging a minimum of 10 days per month at office campuses.
