Wipro, a leading global IT services provider, has unveiled its forward-thinking approach to work arrangements.
The company’s “new hybrid work policy” mandates that employees work from the office premises for a minimum of three days each week.
This policy comes into effect starting this month, signaling a significant shift in how Wipro approaches work dynamics.
Modern Approach to Work
Wipro’s Chief Human Resources Officer, Saurabh Govil, shared insights into the rationale behind this policy. In a LinkedIn post he said, “”I am proud to share with you the new hybrid work policy we have recently introduced.”
He added, “At Wipro, we have taken a modern approach to the future of work – one that focuses equally on well-being of our associates while being a high performing culture, driven by collaboration.”
Wipro recognizes that meaningful collaboration drives innovation and success. Face-to-face interactions foster creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.
The policy empowers associates to balance their professional and personal needs. It acknowledges that work-life integration requires flexibility.
Wipro commits to accommodating special needs—whether due to personal circumstances or health concerns. Associates can seek reasonable accommodations.
The company trusts its associates to deliver their best work. The hybrid arrangement encourages accountability and responsibility.
Wipro: Employee Well-Being and Disciplinary Measures
Wipro’s focus on “profit with purpose” extends beyond financial metrics. The company aims to create a high-performance work culture while prioritizing employee well-being.
By requiring three days in the office, Wipro strikes a balance between collaboration and remote work.
Associates can also request remote work for specific days, allowing them to care for themselves or support loved ones during critical moments.
Wipro emphasizes adherence to the new policy. Non-compliance may result in disciplinary action starting January 7, 2024.
The company expects associates to actively participate in this hybrid model, recognizing that it contributes to both individual growth and organizational success.
