Bharti AXA elevates Dhanashree Thakkar as Head – Human Resources

One of the world’s largest insurance companies, Bharti AXA Life Insurance has announced that Dhanashree Thakkar has been elevated as Head of Human Resources.

Before this, most recently, she was working as Vice President- HR with Bharti AXA since September 2020. She replaces Jai Balan who will move on after completing the transition process by June 2022.

In this new role, she is responsible for driving talent management, employee engagement, performance management, and compensation & benefits.

Dhanashree has led diversity and inclusion across the board, while also championing employee safety & well-being through various programmes at Bharti AXA Life.

Commenting on the development, Dhanashree Thakkar, Head – Human Resources said, “I am elated to take up this responsibility at Bharti AXA Life, an organization with a vibrant, future-forward, and people-centric culture.”

“I am passionate about adding value to the lives of our workforce and enriching their professional journeys with meaningful opportunities. My goal is to continue building holistic employee practices that help us drive collaboration, inclusivity, and growth”, She added.

Dhanashree is a business professional having worked across sectors in areas of change management, transformation, sales, and human resources for over two decades.

Prior to Bharti AXA, Dhanashree worked with Future Group India as Chief People Officer – Corporate Group Resources and Strategic Projects. Previously, she has been associated with Korn Ferry Hay Group, Kotak Life Insurance, McDonald’s India, and Mahindra and Mahindra.

Dhanashree holds a degree in Master of Arts (M.A.) Organisational Psychology, Industrial and Organizational Psychology from University of Mumbai and did General Management Program from IIM, Ahmedabad
