Croma appoints Tata Coffee’s Sudhansu Misra as CHRO

Tata Groups’s one-of-its-kind large retail format Infiniti Retail Ltd., Croma has announced the appointment of Sudhansu Misra as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

Sudhansu Misra has confirmed the development on social media and said, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Human Resources Officer at Croma, Infiniti Retail Limited!”

Sudhansu is an experienced CHRO with rich experience in HR leadership roles in HR Business Partnering and Center of Excellence in large organizations.

Sudhansu had the opportunity to work in different industries like travel & tourism, steel, aircraft manufacturing, computer hardware, automotive, IT and ITES, and Retail. His exposure includes businesses in their different stages of maturity, like start-ups, fast-growth organizations, and mature organizations going through restructuring for the next leap.

Prior to Croma, Sudhansu was with Tata Coffee as Executive Vice President & CHRO. In this role, he was responsible for the people function of Tata Coffee including its international operations.

Earlier, Sudhansu was working with Tata Motors as Sr. GM Corp HR (Talent Mgt, Leadership Devp, L&D). In this role, he led the people aspect of the organizational effectiveness process since 2016, which has impacted in de-layering the organization with large-scale changes in leadership structure and movements.

Before Tata Motors, Sudhansu was associated with IBM. Here he was the HR Head for the domestic business in IBM ( GTS: Global Technology Services) India/SA. This role was focused on partnering with businesses at the strategic level in areas of workforce management, development, and productivity to optimize the workforce for GTS business for India/South Asia.

Sudhansu started his career working with Mahindra as a Head HR – R&D – Automotive. In this role, he was responsible for workforce planning, hiring, and development of both leadership and technology talent for the R&D division.

Sudhansu is an alumnus of Nagpur University. He completed his bachelor’s from Berhampur University.
