Gallagher Service Center appoints Kumar Venkatraman as CHRO

Kumar Venkatraman has been appointed as a new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of Gallagher Service Centre LLP (GSC), a vibrant community providing innovative solutions and support for all aspects of Global Insurance.

In his new role, he will be responsible for GSC’s human resources strategy, people function which includes talent management, leadership development, compensation & benefits, change management, and inclusion.

Venkatraman will also work with the executive leadership team to continue building a talent strategy that attracts, retains, and develops the best people based on business goals.

Vishal Jain, Global Chief Service Officer, GSC, said, “Kumar has an outstanding track record of introducing and leading innovative people management strategies in our industry. However, given our large existing employee base of over 7,300 and the expected growth in the next few years, we need to assess and refine our people management strategy.”

“With his experience and proven skills, I am confident that Kumar will steer us through this new transformational phase and help us to achieve our ambitious growth plans,” Jain added.

Kumar Venkatraman is a Global HR professional with over 25 years of core HR experience. In his career, he has been associated with various industries like Manufacturing, IT, ITES & Services.

Prior to this, Kumar Venkatraman was working with DAMAC Properties as Senior Vice President – People & Performance. And earlier, he has also worked with First Advantage, Hewlett Packard, GENPACT LLC, Symphony Marketing Solutions, Symphony Services Corp, Scope International, Servion Global, Bharat Shell Ltd., IMC Ltd., and Rane Group.

Gallagher has its operation in 68 countries and has recently acquired India-based Edelweiss Gallagher Insurance Brokers. So that it can create its space in the Indian insurance market space.
