Netflix has appointed Sergio Ezama as its Chief Talent Officer. Ezama is currently serving as Global Chief Talent Officer at PepsiCo.

“20 years at PepsiCo leave a mark. I will be forever grateful for the many memories and friends I have been fortunate enough to make over the years. In many regards, all my mentors, colleagues, and friends have shaped the person I am. That debt will never be possibly repaid. Soon I will be cheering for all of you, knowing that PepsiCo will continue to thrive and shine,” Sergio Ezama, Chief Talent Officer, PepsiCo, wrote in a post.

On his new appointment, Ezama added, “With one chapter ending, a new one begins. It’s a privilege to join Netflix to lead a fascinating people agenda in such iconic and unique organization. I am looking forward to building upon its culture of transparency, freedom and excellence so that all employees – whatever their background – can do the best work of their lives.”

Responding to Ezama’s resignation announcement, Ronald Schellekens, CHRO, PepsiCo, said, “I am very sorry to see you leave PepsiCo and our HR function. I would like to thank you for your many contributions over your 20-year career and for the support you have given to me personally during the last two and a half years. I will miss your friendship, creativity, wise counsel, huge energy, drive, and positive mindset and attitude.”

“I am also very happy for you and I am proud that you have been appointed as the end responsible HR leader for Netflix and that we can continue to connect, this time as CHRO peers and colleagues. All the best wishes my friend, Ronald,” Schellekens added.

Ezama has been associated with PepsiCo for 20 years, most recently, as Chief Talent Officer and CHRO – Global Groups and Functions. He joined PepsiCo in 2001.

Ezama holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources, Juridical Practice, and Law from the University of Deusto.
