Welspun elevates Rajendra Mehta as Group CHRO

Welspun has elevated Rajendra Mehta as Group Chief Human Resource Officer of its entire group from his earlier role as CHRO for Welspun Textiles, effective September 1, 2021.

In this new role, Rajendra will be responsible for leading the whole gamut of people and culture function for the entire Welspun Group, an Indian multinational conglomerate, headquartered in Mumbai, whose core industries are Line Pipes, Home Textiles, Infrastructure, Steel, Advanced Textiles, Flooring Solutions, and Oil & Gas.

Rajendra joined Welspun in May 2020, he comes with a rich experience of 26 years in driving strategic and transformational HR practices across BFSI, Entertainment, Private Equity, Engineering industries. He has been instrumental in driving key people practices, innovations and has actively worked in the direction of attaining the company’s ESG goals.

Prior to Welspun, he was associated with Synergy Capital as Executive Director and Chief People Officer, where he played a key role in framing the people practices and helping accelerate transformation.

Previously, he worked with different companies to name some Larsen & Toubro, The Times of India Group, VNL, Zee Entertainment, and KEC International. Gained international exposure in US, Africa, Latin America, Europe, and MENAP regions.

Coached by Dr. Ram Charan, has been recognized for his expertise in implementing world-class practices to transform organizations into high-performing and profitable entities. Coordinate with global management consultancies to develop productivity enhancement programs to yield superlative business results.

He holds a masters degree in Personnel Management Field of Human Resources.
