Infosys, one of India’s leading IT services companies, has announced a significant hiring initiative aimed at recruiting experienced technology professionals across more than 40 specialized skill sets.

This is part of the company’s annual lateral hiring program and aimed at addressing talent needs for ongoing and new projects.

The recruitment drive is expected to bolster Infosys’ workforce and support its expansion efforts in key development centers across India.

Key Areas of Recruitment at Infosys

Infosys is seeking professionals with expertise in diverse areas, including:

  • Cloud Computing: Skills in cloud architecture, deployment, and management.
  • Cybersecurity: Expertise in safeguarding digital assets and mitigating cyber threats.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java, Python, and .NET.
  • Mobile Development: Experience in Android and iOS application development.
  • Automation Testing: Knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks.

Candidates are required to have a minimum of two years of experience in their respective fields. This ensures that the hires bring in-depth knowledge and hands-on expertise to the company.

Recruitment Process: Addressing Attrition and Expansion Needs

The hiring drive is being conducted through a lateral recruitment process, allowing candidates to indicate their preferred interview locations and desired work cities upon selection.

Infosys has sent internal communications to facilitate this process, ensuring a seamless experience for applicants.

This initiative follows similar recruitment drives conducted in February and March of the previous year, which involved walk-in interviews at Infosys’ development centers in Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad.

Unlike those drives, the current hiring process is designed to accommodate a broader range of lateral hires.

The recruitment campaign aims to fill staffing gaps caused by attrition and support the company’s expansion efforts.

Infosys has approximately 323,000 employees globally and plans to hire 20,000 freshers in the next fiscal year.

While the company has not disclosed the exact number of lateral hires planned, the current drive is expected to significantly contribute to its workforce growth.

Infosys Focusing on Local Talent

Infosys is also focusing on recruiting local talent to scale up operations at its development centers.

For instance, the company recently issued around 600 placement offer letters to engineering students from colleges in Karnataka’s Dharwad district.

Infosys is implementing this initiative to strengthen operations at its Hubballi development center.

The center currently employs more than 900 professionals and 100 support staff.

Additionally, Infosys has introduced a transfer policy offering incentives to employees from other locations who are willing to relocate to Hubballi.

This approach underscores the company’s commitment to leveraging local talent and fostering regional development.
