Salesforce, partners to create 1.8M jobs in India, Explore new roles

Salesforce, the global leader in CRM, shared insights from an IDC study, revealing the Salesforce economy’s expansion, driven by AI.

The study forecasts Salesforce and its ecosystem in India will create 1.8 million new jobs and generate $88.6 billion in new revenues from 2022 to 2028.

IDC Salesforce Economic Impact Study

The IDC Salesforce Economic Impact Study highlights AI-powered cloud solutions’ role in economic growth. In India, 79% of companies using AI employ AI-powered CRM solutions, while 80% use enterprise AI software platforms.

Key adoption drivers include improved employee productivity (35%), enhanced customer experience (34%), and higher quality across various sectors (29%).

Impact on Jobs

In the next 12 months, AI-powered cloud solutions are expected to significantly impact organizations, with 58% citing an increasing need for workforce AI skills.

Additionally, 51% of respondents anticipate improved job satisfaction, and 50% expect higher productivity, achieving more in less time. The study predicts that work will not only evolve but also create new job categories.

In India, over the next 12 months, roles such as AI ethicists (62%), data architects (58%), and chief AI officers (52%) are expected to be the top three emerging positions, reflecting the growing importance of AI in the workforce.
