Accenture accorded 60,000 promotions in India

IT service industry has been competitive and robust and Accenture as an eminent player has enhanced its promotions substantially. It accorded 60,000 promotions in India and 1,57,000 promotions globally in FY2022.

In total, there are approximately 3 lakh employees in India and Accenture added 1,00,000 employees globally making its total employee base above 7.2 lakh.

Accenture stated in its 2022 annual report that the firm has realized high voluntary attrition i.e. 19% due to opulent skills and strategic learnings of its workforce. Due to rising attrition and volatility in the IT sector, the competitive flow of the firm disturbs. Accenture strategically rolled out bountiful promotions to enhance workforce engagement.

Post-Covid, disruption caused by Information Technology has broadened the pathway for Indian IT service firms. Accenture has invested $1.1 billion in learning and development. Through digitalization and technological advancements, a wide-ranging 40 million training hours have been delivered to the people, an enhancement of 27% as compared to FY2021.

The firm offers a substantial gender disparity and inclusive employment. Accenture announced 37% of all promotions to Managing Director rank are women. Furthermore, 33 women were appointed Senior Managing Directors, a surge from 24% in FY21 TO 28% IN FY22.

Accenture as a global professional firm reported its progress in talent acquisition and retention. The firm also stated that due to overall inflationary and strong market demand for talent pool in IT post-covid, the firm continues to increase the compensation competitively, much faster than previous compensation trends.

Accenture and its talented workforce have consistently made contributions to their business and communities. With a collaborative approach towards the workforce in terms of compensation and recognition, Accenture aims for the 2025 goal i.e. 30% women managing directors.

The company currently operates from its centers and offices in Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata, Indore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, the National Capital Region (NCR), and Jaipur, among others.
