Cognizant hiring for various roles, both freshers and laterals in India, apply

Cognizant, an American multinational technology company that provides business consulting, information technology, and outsourcing services invites job applications for freshers & experienced people hiring in India.

The company has added 33,000 college graduates in India in 2021 and hired a total number of 41,000 associates for the fiscal. Currently, it has a total headcount of 330,600 employees, and the majority of its employees are working in India.

Announcing its Q4 results, the company said that it will hire 55,000 freshers in 2022 in India, and also committed for robust hiring of laterals this year.

In fourth quarter, the company’s attrition has come down to 28% (LTM basis) and voluntary annualized attrition was up 31% from 33% in Q3. However, it is still higher than TCS, and Infosys.

Rajesh Nambiar, President, Cognizant India, and President Digital Business and Technology said, “While the rest of the sector at least saw an increase in wear and tear for this quarter, we managed to get a little rest on a quarter-on-quarter basis. Is this sustainable? We do everything within the organization to ensure that it persists, but waste is always dependent on market dynamics, “

“The hiring of 50,000 freshers is one of the highest number ever of the company. Unlike in the past when the company focused more on lateral hires, with the need to get more employees on board, it has also increased the number of fresher additions to the company,” he added.

“Our commitment to hiring such large numbers has been the highest in Cognizant’s history and we are doubling down,” Nambiar added.

Last month, Cognizant has completed its acquisition of Devbridge, a privately-held software consultancy and product development company headquartered in Chicago.

Devbridge’s cross-functional team of software product engineering professionals uses collaborative techniques and proprietary tools to deliver product design and development, service design, software engineering maturity, data strategy, and legacy modernization for their clients in financial services, healthcare, hospitality, logistics, and manufacturing.

The acquisition expands Cognizant’s software product engineering capabilities and global delivery footprint by adding more than 600 engineers, designers, and product managers in Lithuania, Poland, United States, United Kingdom, and Canada.
