Pidilite Industries, the maker of Fevicol and Dr. Fixit, has partnered with over 600 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across Gujarat, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan.

Pidilite aims to equip young Indians with hands-on vocational skills and future-ready knowledge.

It aligns with the country’s broader vision of inclusive growth and sustainable infrastructure.

Pidilite has already trained over one lakh youth in diverse trades such as plumbing, waterproofing, woodworking, construction, organic farming, interior design, art & craft, and decoration.

This effort stands out as one of the most expansive private-sector skilling initiatives in India.

Pidilite Flagship Centers and Specialized Programs

Pidilite’s skilling ecosystem includes several flagship initiatives:

  • Pidilite Woodworking and Plumbing Centre for Advanced Skills (PWP): In collaboration with Kaushalya University and the Gujarat Government, this center offers short-term certifications to Honours degrees. In just two years, it has certified 2,800+ individuals, including India’s gold medallist in Joinery at the World Skills International 2024 in France.
  • Dr. Fixit Institute: Offers specialized waterproofing training for contractors, engineers, painters, and applicators through targeted courses.
  • Fevicryl Specialists Program: Empowers hobbyists—especially women—to become paid workshop conductors, turning passion into profession.

These programs provide end-to-end support, from mobilization to placement, and include expert sessions, alumni meets, add-on modules, and on-the-job training.

Digital Innovation: Launch of ‘Bonding Expert’ Platform

Pidilite has launched the Bonding Expert platform to expand access to vocational learning.

This blended tool offers theoretical modules, practical videos, field-level mentorship, and opportunities for community engagement.

This digital initiative enhances accessibility and supports scalable skilling across geographies.

Pidilite Leadership Commentary: Skilling as a Catalyst

Sudhanshu Vats, Managing Director of Pidilite Industries, emphasized the company’s long-term vision:

He said, “Skilling is not just a pathway to employment—it is fundamental to nation-building.”

Sudhanshu added, “As India approaches its centenary in 2047, we must equip our youth with both hands-on capabilities and future-ready knowledge.”

He stated that Pidilite’s multi-pronged approach is “building an ecosystem that empowers individuals, strengthens industry linkages, and fosters inclusive growth”.

Future Outlook: 30 Million Jobs by 2030

India’s construction and real estate sectors are projected to generate 30 million jobs by 2030.

In response, Pidilite’s skilling initiatives are poised to play a pivotal role in preparing a workforce that’s equipped for the future.

The company remains committed to expanding its reach and impact, ensuring that youth across India are self-reliant, employable, and industry-ready.
