Wipro Expands Hyderabad Campus, Adds 5,000 Jobs

Wipro, one of India’s leading IT services companies, has announced plans to open a new IT center in Hyderabad, creating 5,000 jobs.

This expansion is part of Wipro’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the region and contribute to the local economy.

The new IT center will be located at Wipro’s Gopanapalli campus in the Financial District of Hyderabad.

Wipro will complete the project in two to three years, investing Rs 750 crore.

The campus will house state-of-the-art infrastructure, catering to advanced IT services and technology innovations.

Job Creation by Wipro: Strategic Partnership

The expansion is expected to create 5,000 jobs, both directly and indirectly.

This will provide significant employment opportunities for the local community and contribute to the overall growth of the region.

As part of the expansion, Wipro has committed to supporting skill development initiatives in the region.

The company will partner with Telangana’s Young India Skills University to provide training and education programs for the local workforce.

The announcement was made following discussions between Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu, and Wipro Executive Chairman Rishad Premji at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The collaboration highlights the state government’s proactive approach to supporting industry leaders and fostering economic growth.

Government Support and CEO’s Statement

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu have expressed their full support for the expansion.

The state government will provide the necessary infrastructure and support to ensure the success of the project.

Rishad Premji emphasized Wipro’s commitment to innovation and collaboration with the Telangana government.

He highlighted the importance of creating new opportunities and promoting technological advancements in the region.

The new IT center will significantly boost the local economy by providing numerous job opportunities and fostering innovation.

The expansion will contribute to Hyderabad’s growing prominence as a global technology destination.
