The year 2023 started off with the layoff note. Many Tech companies have sacked lakhs of employees. Recently, Microsoft conducted another round of layoffs which affected 10,000 employees.

Among the affected employees who lost their jobs a woman named Ann Pfeiffer has shared her experience. The company has fired the employee after over 25 years of service. She shared a LinkedIn post saying that it has been a rollercoaster of emotions.

Ann Pfeiffer post said, “25+ years with Microsoft have come to a close for me and I am #opentowork due to the March #layoffs.”

“We are not always in charge of the time or how we choose to say goodbye to the amazing company that is Microsoft. The last weeks have been a rollercoaster of emotions reflecting and past months have had an impact on everyone in one way or another”, her post added.

The post added, “I wanted to reach out to thank all of you who I have worked with along my financial planning and analysis or #finance and accounting adventure.  I will treasure all the adventures, challenges, partnership, coaching, learning, and growth mindset that was made possible by all of you.”

“My reason to sign in every day was the culture, energy, and excitement and the people I have had the privilege to work with and for”, the post further said.

“Where one door closes a window opens, and hopefully one day I will find myself working with some of you back at Microsoft or another company”, she said through the post.

“Please reach out if I can help you with your journey and challenges or if you have an #opportunity to share with me for a #results driven #finance #teamplayer as I look for my next career adventure (endorsements and recommendations welcome) Thanks all!”, the post concluded.
