Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has announced that Amit Singh, current CEO, will step down from his position on March 31, 2025.

Following his departure, he will take on the role of CEO of the International Energy Business within the Adani Group.

This transition, part of the Adani Group’s routine internal planning process, aims to foster sustainable growth and nurture leadership talent across its diverse portfolio of businesses.

Adani Green Energy: Leadership Transition and Future Plans

Ashish Khanna, who currently heads the International Energy Business, will succeed Singh as AGEL’s CEO starting April 1, 2025.

This leadership change aligns with the group’s broader objectives to ensure continuity in leadership development and strategically position its leadership to drive future growth.

Amit Singh brings extensive global experience in the energy industry, including roles at SLB (formerly Schlumberger), to his new position.

Since joining DBS in June 2023, he has significantly grown the business across all client segments by deepening existing corporate relationships, accelerating the acquisition of new customers, and identifying new opportunities across a broad spectrum of growth areas.

Ashish Khanna has over three decades of experience in renewables, infrastructure, and project management. He is well-equipped to lead AGEL into its next phase of growth.

Strategic Expansion

The transition comes as AGEL focuses on expanding its business territory to international geographies.

This expansion particularly targets regions with significant growth potential like the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

This strategic move is expected to strengthen the group’s goals and align its operations for sustainable growth.

AGEL, India’s largest renewable energy company, continues to drive the clean energy transition.

It achieves this with its utility-scale grid-connected solar, wind, hybrid, and hydro-pumped storage renewable energy projects.

The leadership change is anticipated to bring fresh perspectives and drive further innovation within the company.
