In the current scenario, companies from various domains have been laying off employees and also delaying the onboarding of fresher graduates from colleges.

So far in 2023, there have been 1,281 layoffs at tech companies with 322,369 people impacted (1,573 people per day). In 2022, there were 1,557 layoffs at tech companies 243,318 people impacted (667 people per day).

However, a lawyer recently took to Twitter to share her experience while interviewing a fresher candidate for the litigation associate position.

The post was shared by a Kolkata lawyer that a fresher candidate wanted Rs 50,000 salary to work 4 hours for 4 days a week.

The post read, “Interviewed a fresher for a litigation associate post who wants 4 days work week, 4 hrs/day work (because he doesn’t like going to court and will only be in chamber he said), and 50K salary in Kolkata. Bless this generation.”

The post currently already has 71.4K Views and several retweets. Additionally, several users have also shared their reactions to it.

One Twitter user said, “An individual might have his/her priorities. A lot of my peers don’t like going to the courts as sometimes it even lacks basic amenities like women’s washrooms. Stop imposing your standards on everyone else. And yes, bless this generation for standing up.”

“Really wonder if such lawyers will ever be able to make the ‘mark’ as #advocates in the longer run! You cannot at all run away from #Courts! #God bless today’s Graduates (many of whom are arrogant & crib at the same time for being a First. Gen. #Lawyer)”, another said.

“If you can’t get his hourly output to justify paying him 40 bucks an hour, the problem must be elsewhere. Also, appreciate his clarity and honesty. He isn’t overpromising at the outset. @warikoo“, another user said.
