Tata Group appoints Anand Shankar as SVP – Group Human Resources & Director TMTC/ Tata Tomorrow University

Tata Group appoints Anand Shankar as Senior Vice President – Group Human Resources & Director TMTC (Tata Management Training Center) Tata Tomorrow University, effective from June 1, 2021.

Anand is Global expert in Human resource, Future of Work, Future of HR , Global Talent & HR market knowledge, APAC & MEA cultural and geographic market and market intelligence, Coach and Mentor

Speaking to SightsIn Plus, Anand said, “I am privileged to start work with a fabulous team of people who are committed to further the cause of leadership and learning across the venerable Tata Group – the salt to software conglomerate that we all so dearly love. This is done through one of the most distinguished and oldest leadership learning campuses in the world at TMTC Pune working in happy conjunction with the latest and most digitally enabled Tata Tomorrow University.”

An alumnus of The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, he is a seasoned strategist who has helped organizations across the globe in navigating business challenges by driving transformational change, building talent excellence, critical capabilities, and future leaders.

Anand brings with him over three decades of experience in human resources, before joining Tata Group, he was working as a Senior Partner and Leader of the HR Transformation at Deloitte for three years.

Earlier to that, Anand was the Chief Commercial Officer for Aon Consulting and then subsequently Aon Hewitt for over 8 years. Anand was based in Singapore for over 20 years before moving back to India to start his assignment at Deloitte.

Previously, he has worked in the Taj Group of Hotels, Littelwoods PLC UK, Hewitt Associates and Talent2 International in a career spanning almost 2 decades.
