Pernod Ricard India Launches 360-Degree New Hire Journey

In a groundbreaking move for India’s alcohol-beverage sector, Pernod Ricard India (PRI) has officially launched “Cheers VRorld,” a virtual reality-powered onboarding platform.
The initiative was announced on February 12, 2026, in Gurugram.
It replaces traditional orientation slide decks with a high-tech, 360-degree immersive storytelling experience, allowing new hires to experience the company’s culture and operations in real-time through VR headsets.
A Unified Entry Point Across India
“Cheers VRorld” addresses the challenge of providing a consistent induction experience across PRI’s diverse geographic footprint.
New employees receive the same “shared starting point” regardless of their location.
Whether they are based at the Nashik manufacturing plant, the Gurugram headquarters, or regional hubs in Pune and Hyderabad, this consistency applies.
The journey begins with a personalized virtual welcome from the CEO and leads into an orientation with the broader leadership team.
This early exposure builds familiarity with senior management, bridging the gap between new talent and corporate leadership from day one.
From Grain to Glass: Immersive Exploration
The platform offers a deep dive into the business through interactive modules:
- Virtual Plant Visits: New hires “travel” to the state-of-the-art Nashik facility to witness the craftsmanship of iconic brands like Royal Stag and Blenders Pride.
- Market Reality: The experience simulates real-world “on-trade” and “off-trade” environments, giving staff a pulse on retail dynamics.
- Interactive Learning: Employees are active participants rather than passive viewers, engaging with digital avatars, guided touchpoints, and quizzes to test their knowledge at their own pace.
Pernod Ricard India People-First Innovation
Nitu Bhushan, CHRO of Pernod Ricard South Asia, noted that they designed the platform to spark “meaningful connection.”
It also aims to reflect the company’s culture of conviviality.
The program has already been successfully piloted with 100 employees across 14 locations. It is slated for a full-scale rollout later this year.
Pernod Ricard is integrating “Make in India” pride with cutting-edge technology. Through this, the company is positioning itself as a future-ready leader in talent management.
