Wipro Integrates HARMAN’s Solutions, Adding 5,600 Employees

Wipro Limited, the Bengaluru-headquartered AI-powered technology services and consulting giant, today announced the successful completion of its acquisition of the Digital Transformation Solutions (DTS) business unit from HARMAN, a subsidiary of Samsung.
The landmark transaction, originally announced on August 21, 2025, closed following the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals.
Wipro acquired a 100% stake in the DTS unit for a cash consideration of up to $375 million (approximately ₹3,270 crore).
The newly acquired DTS unit will be seamlessly integrated into Wipro’s Engineering Global Business Line, marking a strategic and substantial enhancement of Wipro’s Research and Development (R&D) and digital engineering capabilities.
The deal is set to integrate over 5,600 DTS employees, including key senior leadership, across the Americas, Europe, and Asia into Wipro’s global workforce of over 230,000 professionals.
Strengthening the AI-Powered Engineering Core
The acquisition of DTS represents a pivotal move in Wipro’s strategy to solidify its standing as a global leader in engineering services.
This is particularly true for those services leveraging Artificial Intelligence.
DTS brings a deep reservoir of expertise in several high-demand areas.
These include embodied AI, embedded software, device engineering, product engineering, and customer experience platforms.
DTS had reported revenues of $314.5 million in the prior year, making this a significant addition to Wipro’s portfolio.
Srikumar Rao, Managing Partner and Global Head of Engineering at Wipro Limited, highlighted the transformative nature of the deal.
“We are delighted to welcome the DTS team and their clients to Wipro. The acquisition of DTS strengthens Wipro’s ability to deliver AI-powered, end-to-end engineering services,” Srikumar stated.
He emphasized that integrating DTS’s technology expertise and complimentary industry solutions is essential to “evolving our engineering DNA to meet the demands of a rapidly transforming technology landscape.”
Integration with Wipro Intelligence™
A crucial aspect of the integration involves merging HARMAN’s AI solutions with Wipro Intelligence™.
Wipro Intelligence™ is the company’s unified, AI-powered suite of platforms and transformative offerings.
This synergy will enable Wipro to deliver highly differentiated and connected “next-generation experiences” for clients.
The combined entity will leverage consulting-led, AI-powered expertise to accelerate innovation at scale.
This will also support complex digital transformations across key sectors such as technology, industrial, aerospace, healthcare, and consumer sectors.
Vikas Gupta, Executive Vice President and GM of DTS, will continue in a leadership role within Wipro’s Engineering Global Business Line.
He expressed optimism about the future.
“As part of Wipro, DTS enters a new phase of growth and opportunity. Wipro’s global reach, Wipro Intelligence™ capabilities, and advanced technology ecosystem provide the foundation to scale impact, expand into new industries, and deliver enhanced value to clients,” Vikas remarked, pointing to a more integrated go-to-market approach.
The acquisition also includes a multi-year strategic partnership agreement between Wipro, HARMAN, and its parent company, Samsung.
The partnership fosters continued collaboration on developing advanced, AI-first technologies and solutions across product ecosystems.
This further solidifies Wipro’s role as a trusted transformation partner for major global clients.
The deal positions Wipro for more balanced, diversified growth in a competitive global market environment.
