Leaders in the Making‘ is a wonderful book that reveals the facts of how leaders are made. It covers the crucible of the experience of thirty HR leaders of public and private organizations they go through during their life journey to develop as effective HR leaders.

These leaders include stalwarts like Santrupt Misra, Rajeev Dubey, Aquil Busrai, Anil Sachdev, N.S. Rajan and Anil Khandelwal and more.. These life stories provide highlights of early childhood, education, and career over the years.

The book is authored by Arvind N. Agrawal, Managing Partner, Lead Associates, executive coach, and consultant with extensive corporate experience, having held senior positions in leading organizations like RPG Group, Escorts Construction Equipment, and Escorts JCB.

And Professor T. V. Rao, Chairman of T.V. Rao Learning Systems. He has been associated with the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad for the last forty years in various capacities.

The book has excellent lessons for parents, heads of schools and colleges, teachers, HR leaders, and CEOs. The authors have included self-help tools to assess competencies, values, and the careers of readers to plan for self-development.

On the launch of book, Professor T V Rao told SightsIn Plus, “Are leaders born or made? If the answer is made, then can leadership be taught and learned? These and other similar questions are the focus of this book which reviews the research in both leadership development and education.”

“We also realized that leaders are leaders not only in the HR profession but anywhere. A leader in any business context goes through a slew of experiences, positive as well as negative. A good leader demonstrates the ability to manage these experiences and learn life-changing lessons. We call these Crucible Experiences.” He added.

This book brings some fresh insights into how to make and become more effective leaders and it is a must-read for you.
