Ashok Leyland Appoints Jasmeet Bhatia as President & Head – HR
Ashok Leyland Limited has announced the appointment of Jasmeet Bhatia as President & Head – HR, effective January 27, 2026.
Jasmeet Bhatia replaces Raja Radhakrishnan, who has been serving as President & Head HR. Radhakrishnan will take on a new role handling Special Projects for Ashok Leyland and the wider Hinduja Group, continuing his involvement at the group level.
The company shared this update under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, in line with its disclosure and governance practices.
Extensive Experience
Jasmeet Bhatia is a business-focused HR leader with experience across global IT, technology, industrial, and manufacturing companies. He has worked closely with global leadership teams and has led HR plans that support business goals. His work covers process setup, organization structure, change efforts, legal compliance, and government relations.
Before joining Ashok Leyland, Bhatia was CHRO at Thermax. He has also held senior roles at Carrier Corporation, Honeywell, Valvoline, and Mphasis. These roles gave him broad experience across factory operations and tech-driven businesses.
The company says his background includes leadership development, succession planning, diversity, equity and inclusion, performance management, pay programs, change work, and industrial relations. Ashok Leyland believes his appointment will strengthen its leadership bench, improve workplace culture, and speed up people-led business results.
He holds an MBA in Human Resources from the Management Development Institute (MDI) and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Delhi University.
