Goldman Sachs Elevates Saloni Kochhar as Managing Director

Goldman Sachs has elevated Saloni Kochhar to the role of Managing Director, where she will lead Digitization and Workflow Technology in India.
Announcing the milestone on LinkedIn, she shared her excitement and said, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Managing Director at Goldman Sachs!”
Saloni added that she looks forward to the journey ahead with “gratitude, enthusiasm, and ambition,” as she continues delivering value for clients and contributing to the firm’s long-term success.
Her elevation comes as part of Goldman Sachs’ latest global promotions cycle, in which the firm announced that 638 individuals across 54 offices worldwide have been invited to become Managing Directors, effective January 1, 2026.
Extensive Experience
Sonali brings over two decades of rich experience in technology leadership and digital transformation. Prior to her elevation, she served as Vice President at Goldman Sachs, driving large-scale transformation and operational efficiency across critical business functions.
She rejoined the firm in 2022 after working as an Executive Director at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where she further strengthened her expertise in enterprise technology, digital platforms, and execution excellence.
Earlier, she spent more than 12 years at Goldman Sachs in diverse roles, building deep capabilities in technology leadership, digitization, and workflow modernization.
Sonali holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, which has provided a strong technical foundation for her distinguished career.
