Lakmé Lever Appoints Shweta Mhatre as Head – HR and Training

Lakmé Lever, a subsidiary of Hindustan Unilever Limited, has appointed Shweta Mhatre as Head – Human Resources & Training, effective January 2026.
In this role, she will lead the company’s HR and learning plans, with a focus on talent management, skill development, and employee engagement across the company.
Extensive Experience
Shweta joins Lakmé Lever after more than eight years at L’Oréal, where she held several HR leadership roles.
Most recently, she was Human Resources Business Partner – Operations for the SAPMENA Zone. Before that, she led Campus Relations and Integration from Mumbai and worked as HR Business Partner – Sales & Education for South India, based in Bengaluru.
During her time at L’Oréal, she helped shape people plans, supported business change efforts, and built strong leadership pipelines across teams.
She began her career with internships at Philips in Gurgaon and Centrum India in Mumbai, where she gained early experience in HR operations and business partnering.
Shweta holds an MBA in Human Resources Development from Symbiosis Centre For Management and Human Resource Development and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies.
