Morgan Stanley Appoints Anuradha Nath as Managing Director

Morgan Stanley has elevated Anuradha Nath as Managing Director, marking a key moment in her more than two decades with the global financial services firm.

Anuradha shared the update on LinkedIn, noting her appreciation for the firm’s long-standing values. She emphasized Morgan Stanley’s culture of rigor, humility, and partnership, stating that these principles have remained consistent throughout her time at the firm.

She added that it has been a privilege to grow within the organization and that she looks forward to continuing her work in the new role.

Extensive Experience and Career Journey

Anuradha joined Morgan Stanley in 2005 and has held several senior positions across geographies. She has developed deep expertise in technology, operations, and business resilience.

Before elevation, most recently, she served as India Technology and Global Center Technology Chief Administrative Officer, along with the role of India Resilience Lead. In these positions, she played an important role in strengthening technology governance, operational stability, and risk readiness.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, she worked with organizations including United Healthcare, Mphasis, iS3C Consulting Services, Quinnox, and Tata Consultancy Services. Her career spans consulting, technology services, and large enterprise programs.

Anuradha earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering in 1997 from Thadomal Shahani Engineering College, Mumbai.

Her appointment comes as Morgan Stanley promoted 184 employees to Managing Director roles this year, up about 6% from 173 last year, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters. The memo noted that many of the promotions were in revenue-focused roles, underscoring the firm’s emphasis on senior leadership in client-facing businesses.

Managing Director is among the most senior roles at Morgan Stanley, typically held by executives who lead key teams, manage major client relationships, or drive revenue across investment banking, markets, and wealth management.
