PepsiCo India appoints Savitha Balachandran CFO, Kaushik Mitra retires

PepsiCo has appointed Savitha Balachandran as Chief Financial Officer, PepsiCo India & South Asia. She succeeds Kaushik Mitra, who is retiring after 24 years with the company.
Savitha brings broad experience in finance, strategy, and business growth. Before joining PepsiCo, she was Chief Financial Officer at Tata Technologies from July 2020 to December 2025.
At Tata Technologies, she helped strengthen financial controls, supported growth plans, and guided the company through key periods of change and expansion.
Earlier, Savitha spent more than 18 years at Tata Motors. There, she held senior roles covering mergers and acquisitions, capital planning, company strategy, treasury, investor relations, and finance leadership.
Her background across large and complex organizations makes her a strong partner for the business as PepsiCo continues to build long-term growth and value in India and South Asia.
Leadership Transition
This change also marks the retirement of Kaushik Mitra, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, PepsiCo India & South Asia. Over more than 24 years at PepsiCo, Kaushik helped build a strong finance team, shaped regional growth plans, and supported the development of future leaders.
PepsiCo thanked Kaushik for his long-standing service and lasting impact on the company’s finance function and leadership culture.
As it bids farewell to Kaushik, the company welcomes Savitha Balachandran and looks forward to her leadership in the years ahead.
