Cognizant Technology Solutions has announced a 100% discretionary bonus payout for its global workforce of over 350,000 employees.

The decision follows a stellar financial performance in 2025, where the IT giant surpassed its own growth estimates and achieved critical strategic milestones ahead of schedule.

Cognizant Entering the “Winner’s Circle” Early

CEO Ravi Kumar S informed employees via an internal memo that the company has officially entered its “Winner’s Circle”—an internal benchmark representing top-tier industry performance in revenue growth, margins, and operational execution.

Cognizant had originally set a target to reach this elite bracket by 2027 but accomplished the feat two years early.

“Our 2025 results are the direct outcome of your hustle, disciplined execution, and commitment,” Ravi stated, marking the 100% payout as the highest bonus funding in seven years.

Outpacing the Competition

The company’s 2025 fiscal results highlight a significant turnaround.

Cognizant reported a full-year revenue of $21.1 billion, reflecting a 6.4% growth in constant currency.

This performance placed Cognizant at the top of the leaderboards among large-cap IT services firms, outperforming peers such as Accenture (6.25%), HCLTech (4.8%), and Infosys (3.15%).

This growth was fueled by strong momentum in North America and a 7% surge in the Financial Services segment, the highest for that sector since 2016.

Strategic AI Pivot and Large Deal Wins

A core driver of the 2025 success was the company’s “AI builder” strategy. Cognizant successfully signed 28 large deals during the year—each exceeding $100 million in total contract value—marking a nearly 50% increase in large-deal volume compared to the previous year.

Management emphasized that AI-led productivity gains and operational rigor allowed the firm to expand its adjusted operating margin to 15.8%, enabling the full funding of the employee bonus pool.

Focus on Retention and Future Growth at Cognizant

The 100% bonus is a strategic move to retain talent after years of high attrition.

The company confirmed plans to hire 24,000 to 25,000 freshers in 2026 alongside the bonus announcement.

This recruitment drive is designed to further optimize its delivery pyramid.

Cognizant enters 2026 with a robust pipeline and record-high client satisfaction scores.

The company has a clear focus on sustaining its “top-tier” status in the global digital landscape.
