Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s largest IT services firm, has initiated the onboarding process for around 650 lateral hires whose joining had been delayed for nearly three months.

The company has asked some new hires to join in October 2025, after completing background verification.

This is a significant step toward resolving the uncertainty faced by many experienced candidates who have been waiting for clarity since receiving their offer letters.

Company Reaffirms Hiring Commitment

TCS spokesperson said, “We can confirm that we are honouring all offers that have been made, as we have always done throughout our history, whether it is to freshers or experienced professionals. We look forward to them joining and being a part of TCS.”

This statement reinforces the company’s reputation for ethical hiring practices and long-standing commitment to its workforce. TCS has historically maintained a strong track record of honoring job offers, even during challenging times.

The current decision is seen as a reaffirmation of its core values and a message to the industry about the importance of trust and transparency in talent acquisition.

Strategic Talent Integration

The lateral hires bring specialized skills and experience that will enhance TCS’s delivery capabilities across various domains.

With global digital transformation projects accelerating, the integration of experienced talent is expected to boost agility and client servicing.

Upholding Employer Reputation

Industry experts view this decision as a reaffirmation of TCS’s values and ethical hiring practices.

By honoring its commitments during uncertain times, TCS reinforces its reputation as a dependable employer and sets a benchmark for transparency and trust in the IT sector.
