Wipro Limited, a global leader in AI-powered technology services and consulting, has announced the acquisition of the Digital Transformation Solutions (DTS) business unit of HARMAN International, a subsidiary of Samsung.
The transaction is valued at $375 million (approximately ₹3,270 crore). It will close by December 31, 2025, pending regulatory approvals.
This acquisition marks a significant milestone in Wipro’s strategy to deepen its engineering research and development (ER&D) capabilities.
DTS is headquartered in Connecticut, USA.
It is recognized for its expertise in embedded software, digital engineering, device engineering, cloud and infrastructure services, data analytics, and enterprise automation.
The unit serves clients across industrial, consumer, hi-tech, healthcare, and aerospace sectors.
Workforce Integration and Global Reach
As part of the agreement, over 5,600 DTS employees—including senior leadership—across the Americas, Europe, and Asia will transition to Wipro.
This move will not only expand Wipro’s global footprint but also enhance its ability to deliver high-touch, domain-led engineering services at scale.
Upon completion, Wipro will integrate DTS into its Engineering Global Business Line.
The integration will bring together DTS’s personalized service model with Wipro’s global scale and advanced technology ecosystem, offering clients a balanced combination of agility and reach.

He noted that the move reinforces Wipro’s software-defined, platform-centric approach and supports the delivery of complex transformation programs across industries.
HARMAN’s Strategic Realignment
Christian Sobottka, CEO of HARMAN, stated that the agreement opens a new chapter for DTS. It allows it to scale faster and reach more clients in key industries.

Multi-Year Strategic Agreement with Samsung and HARMAN
In addition to the acquisition, Wipro will enter into a multi-year strategic agreement with both HARMAN and Samsung.
