A global professional services company with leading capabilities in digital, cloud, and security, Accenture Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) Rahul Varma has stepped down from the organization.
Sharing the information on social media, Rahul Varma, CHRO said, “Farewell Accenture! You have been my reason to wake up each morning for 28 years in 5 cities across 3 countries. And countless offices around the world that opened their doors wide open to welcome and embrace me.
“To each of you that I have been privileged to cross paths with, I wish you the very best of health and happiness. Couldn’t have asked for a better way to bring down the curtains than in the NYC office today”, he added.
Rahul has been associated with the organization since 1994 for over 28 years. As a Human Resources professional, he inspired people to achieve their highest potential. He has led major transformations in fast-paced, complex, and multi-cultural contexts.
As the architect of Accenture’s revolutionary approach to performance management, Rahul helped create a novel solution that enabled individuals and teams to achieve high performance.
The first HR director in India, Rahul has led his team to deliver one of the biggest organic growth stories in the world. He was serving as the global HR leader for the largest business, Accenture Technology, as revenues rose by ~45% and the employee base from 255,000 to 375,000 during a historic growth phase.
Leading with first principles thinking, Rahul strives for sustainable approaches to solve for both the near and the longer term. He had built trusted relationships both within the C-suite and across the organization, inspiring people to make each other and the world better.
Rahul holds a Master’s degree in Personnel Management, Human Resources from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune. He completed his Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi.
