Infosys “InfyMe” to allow select WFH for 11 days a month

Recently in January, IT giant, Infosys said it won’t force employees to Return to Office but the company has implemented a roster system to ensure adequate seating capacity.

Infosys head of HR Shaji Mathew will be opening additional satellite offices so that employees can commute more easily.

However, as per the recent report of TOI, Employees from select business units at Infosys can utilize InfyMe, an employee experience platform, to apply for work-from-home (WFH) up to 11 days per month.

The report further suggested the message on the InfyMe platform said, “We are now in a hybrid work model. You can avail yourself of the mentioned WFH days per month and work from the office on the remaining weekdays.”

“For additional WFH, requests would be marked as an exception and will be subjected to your manager’s approval,” the message added.

In December, Infosys instructed employees to work from office (WFO) at least three days a week.

Previously, an email was sent to employees from the vertical heads, “Please start coming to the office at least 3 days a week. It will become mandatory very shortly.”  

Earlier in November, the company ended working from home. The change primarily affected employees categorized under Brand 5 and 6, encompassing mid-level managers, and entry-level staff.

They have been directed to work from office (WFO) a minimum of 10 days each month from office, effective from November 20, 2023.

Infosys reported a drop of 6,101 in the total headcount, which stood at 322,663 in Q3FY24 ending on December 31, 2023. The attrition of the company improved to 12.9 percent from 14.6 percent in the second quarter ending on Sept 30, 2023.
