Cargill elevates Raj Karunakaran as Business HR Leader, Plant – APAC

Cargill has elevated Raj Karunakaran as Business HR Leader, Plant – APAC (Cargill Animal Nutrition & Health).

He has confirmed the development on social media and said, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Business HR Leader, Plant – APAC (Cargill Animal Nutrition & Health) at Cargill!”

Most recently, he was Head of HR – South Asia and has been associated with the organization for nearly 6 years. In this role, he was part of Cargill’s Country Leadership Team and Board of Directors, he led a 38-member HR team for South Asia.

As a senior Human Resources professional Raj’s career span is of over 25 years. He has gained exposure and cross-cultural experience in handling the entire gamut of HR including strategy formulation, organization development, HR business partnering, culture-building interventions, change management, talent acquisition, talent management, compensation and benefits, training and development, and performance management.

He has a track record of developing and implementing strategic plans for improved HR operations and demonstrated abilities to provide strategic HR support to top management and business leadership

Prior to Cargill, Raj was associated with Philips where he has held various leadership roles. His last designation was Director – Human Resources / Global HR Business Partner for Philips Mobile Surgery Business.

His earlier stints include working with Fidelity Investments, and AstraZeneca India. He started his career working with Tech Mahindra as an HR Generalist.

He holds his MPM in Human Resources from Phule Pune University and completed his B A Management, Business Management from Barkatullah University, Bhopal.
