Kalpa Power Private Limited has announced the appointment of Pankaj Aggarwal as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

This strategic hire marks a new phase of institutional growth as the company pursues an aggressive roadmap to achieve 5 GW of renewable energy installations by 2030.

A dual-qualified professional, Pankaj is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and a certified Company Secretary (CS), providing him with a specialized skill set that combines financial engineering with rigorous regulatory expertise.

In his new role, Pankaj will oversee Kalpa Power’s Finance, Compliance, and Corporate Strategy functions.

His primary mandate includes strengthening financial governance, optimizing capital allocation, and driving the company’s expansion into international markets.

Deep Roots in India’s Industrial Landscape

Prior to joining Kalpa Power, Pankaj held high-impact roles at some of India’s most prominent industrial firms:

  • Kalpataru Projects International Limited: Served as Senior Vice President of Finance, where he was instrumental in enabling scalable growth.
  • STL (Sterlite Technologies): Spent 15 years in various leadership capacities, including CFO of Global Services. He managed complex, multi-region businesses across India and the United Kingdom.
  • Atul Ltd: Began his career at this chemicals major, where he built a strong foundation in financial discipline.

Kalpa Power Vision 2030: The Road to 5 GW

Kalpa Power is currently recognized by Mercom India Research as one of the country’s top five solar installers.

With 330 MWp of installed capacity across 200 projects, the company has established a robust track record for its “Make It Happen” philosophy.

Founder and Director Rounak Muthiyan noted that Pankaj’s arrival coincides with the company’s transition from a high-growth player to a major energy institution.

“As Kalpa Power enters its next phase of exponential growth, Pankaj’s expertise in managing large-scale global financial operations will be invaluable,” Rounak stated.
