Maruti Suzuki Appoints Mukesh Kumar as Senior GM- Employee Relations

Mukesh Kumar has been promoted to Senior General Manager – Employee Relations at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, effective April 1, 2026. Before this, he worked as General Manager – Employee Relations.

In his new role as Senior General Manager – Employee Relations at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Mukesh will lead efforts to manage employee relations, support smooth operations, and build strong communication between management and the workforce.

Extensive Experience

Mukesh Kumar has over 17 years of experience with Maruti Suzuki India Limited, where he has worked in employee relations and HR roles since 2008.

He has led work on industrial relations, union talks, and conflict handling, helping maintain stable relations and smooth operations.

He has taken part in wage agreements across multiple periods and managed union elections and internal inquiries. His work includes building strong links between management and employees, improving communication, and handling grievance cases.

Mukesh has also led programs on employee engagement, team development, and training. Earlier in his career, he handled payroll, compliance, workforce planning, and digital HR systems.

Before joining Maruti Suzuki India Limited in 2008, Mukesh Kumar worked at JBM Group and Terex Vectra Equipment.

Mukesh studied at XLRI Jamshedpur and the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak, where he focused on HR and analytics.
