SMIFS Ltd appoints Pankaj Adhav as Head– Human Resources
SMIFS Limited, a leading merchant banking company in India, has appointed Pankaj Adhav as Head – Human Resources.
In this role, he will lead the company’s HR function, focusing on people strategy, skill development, and improving how teams work together as SMIFS grows its financial services business.
Extensive Experience
Adhav brings nearly 20 years of HR leadership experience across capital markets and financial services. His background includes strategic HR, talent management, learning programs, and a close partnership with business leaders.
Before joining SMIFS, Adhav was Senior Vice President & Head – Human Resources Development at Arihant Capital Markets Ltd. There, he led HR and learning efforts across traditional and digital broking, merchant banking, and institutional businesses.
Earlier in his career, he held senior HR roles at YES Securities, 5paisa, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, Anand Rathi Shares and Stock Brokers, Religare Enterprises, and Sharekhan. In these roles, he managed large teams across India and led company-wide hiring and HR change programs.
His experience includes building strong performance cultures, creating effective hiring models, improving employer branding, and managing the full employee lifecycle and organization development efforts. He has also been listed among the Top Recruiters on IIMJobs.com.
Adhav holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Organization Development and Change Management from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).
He has also completed an Executive Development Program in Strategic Performance Management from XLRI Jamshedpur.
