Torrent Power Appoints Anuj Shah as Vice President – HR

Torrent Power, an Indian energy and power company, has named Anuj Shah as Vice President – Human Resources. He is based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and took charge in February 2026.

In this role, he will head human resources for Torrent Power. His work will center on people plans that support business goals, building skills across the workforce, and managing employee resources.

Extensive Experience

Anuj joins Torrent Power after a long and impactful tenure of nearly two decades at Intas Pharmaceuticals, where he held multiple leadership roles across the HR function.

Most recently, he served as Associate Vice President from April 2023 to February 2026, contributing to strategic HR priorities and people initiatives aligned with business growth.

Before this, he worked as Senior General Manager from September 2006 to November 2023, gaining deep experience across HR operations, employee engagement, talent management, and organisational development in a large and dynamic environment.

With extensive exposure to managing people priorities in complex, high-growth organisations, Shah brings a strong blend of operational expertise and strategic HR leadership to Torrent Power.

Shah holds a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from Sardar Patel University (1997–1999).
