Tata Technologies Appoints Uttam Gujrati as Chief Financial Officer

Tata Technologies Ltd has announced the appointment of Uttam Gujrati as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective from today, 31 December 2025.

The decision was approved by the company’s Board of Directors. He succeeds Savitha Balachandran, who stepped down from her role on 30 December 2025 to pursue opportunities outside the Tata Group.

Savitha Balachandran has served as CFO since 2020 and played a pivotal role in enhancing financial discipline, improving operational efficiency, and successfully steering the organisation through its IPO journey.

Extensive Experience

Uttam Gujrati is a seasoned finance leader with over two decades of experience across strategic finance, business planning, mergers and acquisitions, pricing governance, and large-scale transformation initiatives.

Prior to his elevation as CFO, he was heading Global Business Finance and Strategy at Tata Technologies, where he made significant contributions to IPO readiness, margin expansion, and digital finance transformation.

Throughout his career, Uttam has held senior finance leadership roles in global engineering and technology-driven organisations.

He is widely recognised for building robust financial governance structures, driving audit and compliance excellence, and aligning financial strategy with long-term business growth.

His deep understanding of global markets and operational finance positions him well to lead Tata Technologies’ financial agenda in its next phase of growth.

Prior to joining Tata Technologies in 2020, Uttam Gujrati served as Chief Financial Officer at Smokescreen Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

Earlier in his career, he held senior finance leadership roles at organisations such as Onward Technologies Limited and Geometric Ltd., where he gained extensive experience in financial management, governance, and strategic business support.
