Biocon gets Naveen Narayanan as CHRO: top leadership reshuffle

In a major leadership reshuffle, Biocon has elevated Naveen Narayanan to Chief Human Resources Officer, up from his most recent role as Global Head of HR at Biocon Biologics.

With effect from April 1, 2026, in his new role, he will lead the company’s overall HR strategy, focusing on workforce planning, leadership development, and building a strong performance-driven culture across global operations.

Extensive Experience

Naveen brings over 20 years of global HR experience and strong skills in talent strategy, workforce planning, and improving how organizations run. Before Biocon, he worked as MD – Human Capital Consulting at KPISOFT. There, he led large HR programs, including digital talent systems for over 90,000 employees in Dubai government bodies, and advised major companies across Asia.

Earlier, at Publicis Sapient, he handled talent and workforce planning across India and APAC, helping improve productivity and reduce costs. Previously, in his career, he held senior roles at HCL Technologies, Standard Chartered, and Accenture, etc., where he managed global hiring, HR systems, and large training programs.

He started his career in the hospitality sector, working with ITC Hotels and Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, building a wide range of HR experience over time.

• CEO & MD: Shreehas Pradeep Tambe will take charge from April 1, 2026, replacing Siddharth Mittal
• CFO: Kedar Narayan Upadhye has been named CFO, replacing Mukesh Kamath, who will move to another role within the group
• CTO: Mandar Shrikant Ghatnekar elevated as Chief Technology Officer from Global Head of IT & Digital Transformation at Biocon Biologics
