OpenAI Appoints Arvind KC as Chief People Officer

OpenAI, an AI research organization, has appointed Arvind KC as Chief People Officer (CPO).

In this new role, Arvind will lead the global people strategy, talent growth, and workplace operations, which include hiring, employee experience, leadership training, and performance programs as the company expands its work around the world.

He will work with senior leaders to build a strong, mission-focused team that supports the company’s long-term goal of developing safe and useful AI.

Extensive Experience

Arvind brings more than 20 years of experience in engineering and human resources leadership.

Before joining OpenAI, Arvind KC held senior leadership roles across major technology companies. He served as Chief People and Systems Officer at Roblox, where he led people strategy and systems.

Prior to that, he was Vice President of Engineering at Google. He also worked as Chief Information Officer at Palantir Technologies in Palo Alto.

Earlier, he was Director of IT at Facebook in Menlo Park, leading teams that built enterprise tools for HR, sales, legal, and security.

He also served as Director of Operations Business Solutions at Xilinx.

Arvind earned an MBA from Santa Clara University and a degree in chemical engineering from University Institute of Chemical Technology.
