Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced the appointment of Mangesh Sathe as its new Chief Strategy Officer, effective May 1, 2025.

In his new role, Mangesh will also lead the Global Consulting Practice and oversee the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) function of the company.

He will report to Mr. K. Krithivasan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. This strategic appointment reflects TCS’s continued focus on innovation, transformation, and value-driven growth.

Rich Legacy at Tata Group and Strategic Expertise

Before his new role, Mangesh was the Chief Executive Officer of Tata Strategic Management Group (TSMG) at Tata Sons.

In this capacity, he worked closely with the Group Chairman’s Office and the CEOs of various Tata Group companies, supporting them in their strategy and transformation journeys.

His work spanned several sectors, including Automotive and Industrial, Consumer, and Technology. Under his leadership, TSMG drove growth and corporate strategy initiatives, technology-led platforms, inorganic expansion, operations transformation, and new business incubation.

Background and Global Consulting Experience

Mangesh Sathe joined TCS in 20218 and boasts a wealth of experience from global consulting firms such as Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and PRTM, where he worked in both the U.S. and India.

His international exposure adds to his deep understanding of strategic and operational frameworks.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Walchand Institute of Technology, Solapur, and an MBA from S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai.

With this blend of academic excellence and global consulting expertise, Mangesh is well-positioned to steer TCS’s strategic direction and drive sustained growth.
