Landmark Group appoints new President- Group HR

Landmark Group appoints Sandeep Batra as President- Group HR, he replaces Venkatramana B who is superannuating on 30 June.

Sandeep Batra joins Landmark Group as President- Group HR. He replaces Venkatramana B who is superannuating on 30 June 2020. However, he will remain with the Group till September 2020 as an advisor.

Prior to joining Landmark Group, Sandeep was Executive Vice President and Head HR of enterprise business and technology at Vodafone Idea Ltd. He has over 27 years of experience in the Indian Army and human resources and has been associated with sectors, such as telecom, manufacturing, IT, and consumer services.

Sandeep has served the Indian Army as Major from 1993 to 1999 and he was responsible for the welfare of 700 soldiers and equipment management worth USD Mio.

He is a seasoned HR Leader and a coach with passion for Talent with in-depth knowledge and extensive experience in Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Talent Management, HR Business Partnering, L&D, and etc. Previously he also worked with companies like EXL, Bharti Teletech, Cendant Corporation, Sona Koyo Steering Systems Ltd, and Tata Infotech.

He has done graduation in commerce from Delhi University and a PGDBM in strategy and Leadership from IIM, Calcutta.

The Landmark Group began its journey in 1999 with the first Lifestyle store in Chennai. Since then it has grown into one of the largest retail and hospitality conglomerates in India. Currently the Group operates over 630 stores across 145 cities with over 9.4 million square feet of retail space.
