BT Group in India collaborates with Pluralsight to empower young individuals

One of the world’s leading communications services companies, BT Group in India collaborates with the tech workforce development company Pluralsight to empower young individuals.

The company will focus on young individuals with disadvantaged backgrounds through the Mentor to Go program. Moreover, This initiative with a particular focus on supporting women in STEM education, aims to equip participants with the advanced tech skills sought after in today’s job market.

BT Group said in a post, “Our collaboration aims to provide access to advanced tech learning resources for those who need it most.”

“Working alongside our Digital Campus team, we’re offering a wide range of resources, including over 7,000 courses covering advanced topics, specialized subjects, and recordings of past tech conferences”, the company said in a statement through the post.

“Participants will also engage in hands-on coding projects and receive preparation for industry-leading certifications”, the post added.

The post further said, “Through our partnership with Mentor Together, India’s leading non-profit organisation, we’re extending these opportunities to young individuals from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds, many of whom are trailblazers in their families, breaking barriers to pursuing higher education.”

“We’re immensely grateful to our Digital Campus team for their pivotal role in facilitating this partnership and to Pluralsight One for their generous contribution. Together, we’re making strides towards empowering tomorrow’s tech workforce and creating pathways to success”, the post concluded.

Recently, BT Group has announced plans to recruit more than 500 apprentices and graduates for its September 2024 intake. The company will recruit talent into the company across areas as diverse as software engineering, customer service, applied research, data analytics and cyber-security to support the UK’s fast-growing digital sectors.
