While addressing the 74th annual general meeting (AGM) IT major, Wipro Chairman Rishad Premji said, “So far, we have not laid off any employee and has no plans to retrench employees due to the Covid-19 pandemic impact on business.”

However, the company is driving cost-cutting measures at the back of the pandemic, he added, responding to investor queries.

He also said, “Safety and well-being of our employees are of paramount importance,” at the annual general meeting.
