Novartis has named Jonas Prasanna as the new Head of People Services & Solutions (PS&S) for India.
Based in Hyderabad, Jonas will oversee HR operations and service delivery across the country, with a focus on enhancing employee experience, operational excellence, and alignment with Novartis’s global transformation agenda.
A Career Built on Diverse HR Leadership
Jonas Prasanna brings over 17 years of experience in human resources, spanning industries such as aerospace, healthcare, media, consumer electronics, and IT.
His career includes senior roles at Boeing, Disney+ Hotstar, Capgemini, and Philips, where he led initiatives in talent acquisition, employer branding, HR transformation, and cultural development.
At Boeing, Jonas most recently served as APAC HR Business Partner Leader for Government Defense Services and the Supply Chain function.
He managed cross-cultural teams across India, Singapore, Japan, Korea, the United States, and Australia.
His tenure also included a role as International HR Business Partner, where he shaped development agendas for regions including India, the Middle East, and Africa.
Earlier in his career, Jonas held the position of Senior HR Manager at Disney+ Hotstar, supporting commercial teams during a period of rapid digital expansion.
At Capgemini, he served as Employer Brand Manager, deploying social recruiting strategies and predictive analytics to strengthen global talent acquisition.
His seven-year stint at Philips included roles such as Talent Acquisition Manager – Special Projects and HR Business Partner for IT Applications, where he implemented global tools like Taleo and led diversity hiring initiatives.
Educational Background and Early Career
Jonas holds an Executive Programme in Human Resource Management from IIM Kozhikode, with a focus on organizational behavior, strategic workforce planning, and leadership.
He also earned an integrated BBA and MBA in HR and Marketing from the Indian Institute of Planning and Management.
He began his HR journey with Breakthrough, a nonprofit organization, where he worked as a Volunteer Facilitator for experiential learning.
In this role, he conducted development workshops on leadership, integrity, and entrepreneurship, laying the foundation for his people-centric approach.
