Sandoz appoints Tripti Jha as Chief People Officer designate

Sandoz, a global leader in generic pharmaceuticals and biosimilars, and a division of Novartis Group appoints Tripti Jha Sandoz as Chief People Officer designate, effective May 1, 2023.

Prior to joining Sandoz, Tripti has been with Novartis since 2004, most recently as Chief Talent and Transformation officer, where she was part of the Novartis leadership team for the People & Organization function.

She brings over 20 years of experience in Human Resources in the healthcare sector; including extensive experience in working with the executive committee of Novartis and Board of Directors.

She also oversaw a large part of the People & Organization function including Organization Transformations and Development, Learning & Leadership Development, Global Employee Relations, and People Services, Analytics, and Technology globally. 

Tripti also led the Novartis People & Organization response to the pandemic from 2020-21. Previously, Tripti held various senior, global, and country or site-level positions within Novartis Pharma, Novartis Business Services, and Novartis Group.

Prior to joining Novartis, Tripti worked with CARE – a leading humanitarian global organization with the purpose to fight poverty and achieve social justice by empowering women and girls. Originally from India, Tripti has lived and worked in several countries including Switzerland, India, and Russia.

She graduated with a Master of Arts in social work (specializing in Social Welfare Admin/ Public Policy) from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India.

She enjoys being in the mountains, running, reading, cooking, and purposeful travelling. She lives in Basel with her husband and two daughters.
