HCLTech, a leading global technology company, is broadening its Apprenticeship Program to provide aspiring tech professionals with paid training, hands-on experience, and the opportunity to earn a college degree without incurring student debt.

An apprenticeship is the start of a rewarding IT career. Here you will gain skills and knowledge through facilitated learning and hands-on experience with real customers.

Program Overview

The HCLTech Apprenticeship Program is designed for recent high school graduates and individuals with non-STEM associate degrees.

Participants receive a full-time salary and comprehensive benefits from day one. The program spans 12 months, or 6 months for those with prior associate degrees in Computer Science.

Upon the completion of your apprenticeship, you can earn an Associates or Bachelor’s degree without student loan debt.

Training and Career Paths

Apprentices undergo a structured training regimen comprising foundational IT instruction, role-specific training, and on-the-job experience under expert mentorship.

Career roles available post-apprenticeship include positions such as Software QA Analyst, Test Analyst, Support Analyst, and roles in cloud computing, network services, and cybersecurity.

Educational Partnerships

HCLTech has partnered with institutions like Southern New Hampshire University and Purdue University Global in the U.S., and Athabasca University in Canada, to facilitate higher education for its apprentices.

Through these collaborations, apprentices can pursue associate or bachelor’s degrees in technology fields, with HCLTech covering tuition costs, including books and course materials.

This approach ensures apprentices can advance their education without the burden of student loans.

Eligibility and Application

Candidates must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. They should be authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada, depending on the program location.

The selection process evaluates academic records, online test scores, and learnability skills. Training locations include Frisco, Texas; Cary, North Carolina; Sacramento, California; Mississauga, Ontario; and Vancouver, British Columbia.

Conclusion

IT giant HCLTech’s Apprenticeship Program offers a unique blend of paid employment, practical training, and debt-free education, paving the way for individuals to embark on successful careers in the technology sector.

By investing in talent development, HCLTech reinforces its role as a catalyst for positive transformation in the tech industry.
