Ericsson is on a hiring spree in India, details here apply

Ericsson has bagged contract from Bharti Airtel and Jio to roll out their 5G networks in several telecom circles.

The company has announced that it is scaling up the production capacity and operations in Pune, India to meet the needs of 5G network deployments in India.

Ericsson India is also establishing a technology centre which will focus on new product introduction and production engineering

Nunzio Mirtillo, Head of Market Area Southeast Asia, Oceania, and India, Ericsson says, “As 5G gets introduced in India, we are ramping up production of our 5G telecom equipment in Pune in a phased manner, to support the network deployments of Indian telecom service providers.”

“The production in India is part of our global production footprint with a presence across continents. This footprint has enabled us to secure a global, flexible, and resilient supply chain to respond quickly to market and customer needs, whereby India also benefits”, Nunzio Mirtillo added.

The production ramp-up will expand operations with high-technology production and will also generate employment for around 2,000 people in Pune, India.

Commenting on the hiring process the company said, “Once you have found a job you are interested in, the process towards an exciting future begins. Depending on the role you are applying for the process usually looks like this:

  1. Apply for the job – Our application process is quite simple. Once you create your account, it will only take a few minutes to get the application completed.
  2. Hear from us – If your profile makes a good match, you will typically have one or two shorter conversations over the phone or video as initial contact. These will usually be with a recruiter that will work together with you all along the hiring process. Your recruiter will inform you about the relevant Ericsson representatives you will meet during the process.
  3. Get ready for your interview – This could be with the positions of a hiring manager or with a senior management team. Depending on the role, you will have between one to three interviews.
  4. Case interview or assessment – For certain positions.
  5. Reference check – At the end of the recruitment process we will ask you for references, whom we will contact.
  6. Offer – If you are the final candidate and you also choose to pursue your career with us, we will provide you with a contract including our position offer and benefits package.
  7. Contract – Welcome to our team!”
